Chatfuel is a complex product, and we noticed that users are willing to pay only after testing the bot and having their first conversation. However, to get to that point, they need to understand the product, the basics of automation, and how to connect a business WhatsApp number. We conducted numerous onboarding experiments and identified the essential steps for the initial bot setup.
I designed the user journey from registration to payment, developed the visual language, and made quick adaptations to support continuous experimentation.
